Sometimes a funded project may involve travelling at home or abroad. We require that our grantees take into account the Foundation’s travel guidance when planning and using travel expenses.
- Please consider carefully which meetings or collaborative meetings require travel on site. Would it be possible to attend the meeting virtually?
- We encourage travelling by land.
- If flying is essential, please consider combining your trip with work or vacation in the destination.
- It is possible and advisable to budget travel money also to compensate the climate emissions of the flight (e.g. Hiilipörssi, Finnish Natural Heritage Foundation or other trusted body).
