The purpose of the project is to develop a basket model of endangered species and their habitat requirements in Finnish forests and make recommendations for sustainable forestry practices based on this. The information will be presented as an illustrated guide, which will be used as a practical tool for people who work in forestry. The model will be cost effective and user-friendly which guarantees its widespread use and acceptability. The project aims is to significantly curb the endangerment development in Finnish commercial forests.
