Oceans are globally one of the largest carbon sinks that limit the growth rate of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) and help mitigate climate change. The project aims to study the oceanic carbon sources and sinks, and their change in recent years. Large uncertainties exist regarding these, as CO2 measurements over oceans are sparse and costly. Using a novel multi-satellite approach, atmospheric and ocean data from several NASA and ESA satellites will be analysed to quantify oceanic contribution to the carbon cycle
