We organized a grant info session on 15.6. You can watch the whole info below. This blog post will also give you links and information on how to apply for funding.
The Nessling Foundation’s annual call for grant applications is open from 13.8–14.9.2018.
The Foundation primarily awards funding for solution-oriented postdoc projects and doctoral thesis projects whose results have a systematic and scalable impact on the progress of environmental protection. We also support the communication and implementation of researched environmental information to society.
Our Foundation has renewed its strategy for the years 2018–2022. Because environmental challenges are multidisciplinary phenomena, all scientific fields are needed for solving them. That is why we encourage researchers to engage in forms of collaboration that break the boundaries of science. Collaboration between different actors is also an advantage in non-research projects. Both doctoral thesis and postdoc researchers can apply, but this year we are again emphasising the applications of postdoc researchers.
In the 2018 call for applications, the Foundation’s research and other supported activities are divided into five phenomena, which the applicants will be proposing solutions related to. The project can also solve more than one of the phenomena mentioned below.
- Climate change
- Decrease in biodiversity
- Sustainability of the use of natural resources
- Water risks
- Chemical pollution and contamination of the living environment
