DNA multibarcoding, mapping, and teaching microscopic diversity of soil mites – species data into DNA libraries, distribution maps and teaching entities with the help of citizen science The microscopic soil mites are highly diverse, but poorly known. This study discovers practical and cost-effective ways to investigate the diversity of soil animals, which is the cornerstone of practical nature conservation. The project has three aims 1) Finnish moss mites (360 spec.) will be DNA multibarcoded which enables automatic species identification, 2) distribution maps of species will be published, and 3) a webpage for the use environmental of education will be created.
