Achieving conservation investments and biodiversity offsets through business-to-business over-the-counter contracts – a law and economics perspective. The purpose of the research is to increase conservation investments and hence make ecological compensation available and to halt the loss of biodiversity in Europe. The research examines new business-to-business conservation and offsetting contracts from the finance law and regulation perspective. The research aims to suggest that profitable conservation investments can be executed today in Europe without new compensation and habitat banking regulatory scheme.
