The Nessling Foundation received a total of 843 applications in its 2026 general grant call. The call has now closed, and the results will be announced on 18 November 2026.
In the general grant call, we were looking for active researchers and actors whose projects accelerate the sustainability transformation that protects natural systems. A total of €3.25 million will be awarded.
Funding was available for doctoral research, postdoctoral research and science-based action projects.
We received a total of 843 applications:
- 443 applications for doctoral research projects
- 254 applications for postdoctoral research projects
- 146 applications for science-based action projects
We would like to thank every applicant for the time and effort they put into preparing their application. The applications will now be evaluated by our board of experts.
The results of the call will be published on the Nessling Foundation’s website on 18 November 2026.
