The project aims to design a vertical garden system that can alleviate stormwater stress in cities. Based on previous studies, higher efficiency of stormwater retention and filtration of this system can be achieved by modifying plant communities, soil microbial communities, soil types, and water pathways. Eventually, findings from the project will be applied to actual products in order to deliver sustainable urban stormwater management.
